Cramy - der squashfs Image Compressor
Hi !

Ich habe e aus einer Bastelei von mir ein Plugin gebaut um den Flash der 800/800se/500HD/7020HD noch ein bisschen weiter ausquetschen könnte.

Und ja auf der 8k geht es auch, aber dort macht es durch die neuen Jumbo Images keinen echten Sinn, aber nachdem ich es dort entwickelt habe geht es auch dort. Die 7025 ist derzeit noch nicht unterstützt, ist aber geplant, und bis dahin kann man dort SqueezeOut verwenden.

Im Prinzip verwende ich den selben Trick den DMM benutzt um den Flash der 7025 besser auszunutzen. Dort kommt der Großteil des images in ein hochkomprimiertes squashfs und nur die Änderungen und Sachen die Ihr dazu installiert oder einstellt kommen ins normale jffs2 Filesystem.

Es wird dabei squashfs ohne LZMA Patch verwendet, weil das wird in wenigen minuten erstellt und dauert damit kaum länger als eine 'normale' nfi sicherung.

Cramy aus dem dFlash entstanden, weswegen es auch stark an die Image Sicherung vom dFlash erinnert und im Prinzip auch so zu benutzen ist.

Im Wesentlichen installiert man sich das Plugin und findet dann bei den Einstellungen die Möglichkeit sein eingerichtetes Image im Flash oder ein nfi File mit squashfs zu komprimieren und zwar entweder in ein einziges nfi file wo auch das squashfs file drinnen ist oder in ein nfi und ein sfi file wobei man letzters damit es benutzt wird in die root der Hardddisk (die mit ext3 formatiert sein muss) also auf /media/hdd kopieren muss (das kann man aber auf Gelb mit dem Cramy Plugin erledigen)

Das nfi File kann man dann wieder wie jedes normale nfi Backup Image mit dem WebIF oder DreamUP Flashen, mit dFlash geht es aber genauso.

Achtung, es werden zusätzliche Treiber benötigt - nämlich die ipks für loop, unionfs und squashfs die ihr falls nicht auf eurem Imagefeed so wie bei OoZooN in den ersten Replies findet.
